“There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again.”

"If you don't like it, don't look at it."
And just 'cause it's funny:
"Trying to understand the behaviour of some people is like trying to smell the colour 9."
I like this Noam Chomsky quote:
If we do not believe in freedom of speech for those we despise; we do not believe in it at all.
Heres my top 4:
1. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it
2. “Interviewer: As a bomb diffuser, how do you stay so calm under the immense pressure of knowing that you could make the wrong choice?
Interviewee: Simple. If I cut the right wire, it’s no longer my problem. Cut the wrong wire, still no longer my problem.”
3. If there’s a will, there’s a way
4. You can sleep when you’re dead
The first is not necessarily a quote but it is an inspirational fact to live knowing.
"However much you made financially, no matter how you made it, it's more than van Gogh made with his heart."
"You can spend 20 or 30 years building a reputation. And in 30 seconds you can ruin it."
- Kenneth Foster
I always say, You create your own problems.
Which in a nutshell means, don't blame others for your mistakes.
"Friendship is like pissing in your pants, everyone else can see it but only you are able to feel its true warmth" - anonymous.
"Everything is important. Either that, or nothing is. I prefer the former."
"When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time."
Maya Angelou
"What's the deal? Spin the wheel. If the dice are hot, take a shot. Play your cards, show us what you got, what you're holding. If the cards are cold, don't go folding. Lady Luck is golden. She favors the bold, that's cold. Stop throwing stones. The night has a thousand saxophones. So get out there and rock, and roll the bones. Get busy."
"Nothing's *that* bad."
Idk if I heard it from someone or came up with it myself, but it motivates me to do things I have to that I don't like
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.-
A quote from Lucille Ball
Never thought of a quote for me to live by before. Now this post made me think of one by myself which I am currently trying to apply in my life right now.
"The best way to get over your fear is by forcing your scared ass to brave forward and face that very fear itself".
I float back and forth between
“Its through loving others that we learn to love ourself.”
And
“Never forget what you are, the rest of the world won’t.”
I was pretty serious with that quote. I prefer to remain true to myself and not be what people want me to be. I encountered many people who think they can tell others how to act or dress or say, as if they are better and have the right to judge people. I prefer to be myself and make wonderful memories doing what I love than be what others want me to be and then forget who I am.
Also... I don’t even know what korn is.
“Don’t be stupid” changed my life. Before I do something I ask myself, would a stupid person do this? If they would, I don’t do it
"It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not."
"You know, I always wondered about that taping equipment but I'm damn glad we have it, aren't you?"
- rachard nixon 1973
a few months prior to his shitstorm
-Don't let ya kids play on the highway
-Root em, then boot em
-If you can smell it from the belly button then don't go down on her
-Stop looking at your sister
George Washington didn’t defeat the British with freedom of speech, he used guns, and shit them if the face
