Taylor swift sucks as a singer

Ive seen her in magazines only until recently I heard her actual music and I find it very boring, juvenile and trite. She sings about terrible boyfriends and her voice is unremarkable bordering on annoying. She sounds like a 9 year-old to me.
I believe the only reason of her success is because she is tall blonde and thin. I think she would do well as a model rather than a singer because she is stylish and wears clothes well.
I cannot stand her voice! Opinions please.

    I don't like her music very much but, as a fellow songwriter, I do admire her. She is witty.
    "Shake it off" is funny as hell because everybody is always criticising her for going through boyfriends like cake through a fat person...and what does she do? she turns all that negative criticism into a song.

    Did she do some country stuff before she became really famous? That probs would have been better, like The Band Perry. At least she is classier than most from what I've seen.

    I like Taylor Swift. I'm not so into everything I've heard on her last record; the bouncy country influences which I liked are gone, and there's too much trendy synth-pop. Shake It Off is still a nice song, but it's very safe pop in a post-Pharrell world (although I like Shake It Off more than Happy). Blank Space is a better single, but it still doesn't feel like it has a lot of Taylor's personality in it.

    Taylor Swift's music isn't really about the voice (although her voice is absolutely adequate). It's about *her*, and the personality and sense of fun in her songs.

    What sort of music do you usually like?

      Some pop but mostly rock and what youd call alternative.

    I'm in the fandom and i've made lots of great friends there (probably only reason why I stay in the fandom). I obviously don't think she's the best singer in the world because she is not, but I don't think she's as bad as you paint it. I won't say more than this because our oppinions would start to probably clash and wouldn't be nice.

    Not a fan of Taylor Swift but I do find her far less annoying than Miley Cyrus. If I had to choose between listening to Taylor or Miley or Lily Allen...Lily would win every time. She's really quite clever in her songwriting and her voice is good (though a bit girly like).

    I don't enjoy her music, and the fact that I'm not in the target audience doesn't matter, I'm not the target audience for Lisa hannigan either but I like her music, however Taylor is technically a good singer, she hits all the notes it's just not for me
