Tampons won't fit inside me?

I'm a virgin and I don't do any kind of active activities, but I've tried time and time again to get a tampon inside me and it just doesn't work. I've tried different positions, when my flow is heaviest, and a few different sizes. I've tried thinking about sex, even. I don't like penetration; when I masturbate I only fondle my clit. I can stick a maximum of one of my slender fingers inside me, but it doesn't feel shockingly good. It's a little uncomfortable. But I want to be able to use a tampon! I don't want my doctor to break my hymen as I don't think that's even the problem. Has this happened to anyone else?

    Make sure you're relaxed and not subconciously tensing your mucles. Also remember the vagina slopes backwards, so instead of just pushing upwards, push towards your butt at a diagonal angle.

    You should be able to use them eventually though.

    I was like this too. U just gotta work that tampon up there. Use a small one and make sure ur not too dry. Or u could just shove it up. I did that haha

    Okay I will say it's normal. When I was a virgin, penetration was very uncomfortable (like with fingers) so I only ever masturbated by playing with my clit. And it was very difficult to fit any tampons in there as well.

    Now that I'm not a virgin (and haven't been since I was 19) I love penetration, and tampons fit fine. I guess you are better off using pads until you lose your virginity.
