Taller than parents?

Is it normal that am 7 inches taller then my dad and 9 inches taller then my mom.
Am 6'3" btw.

    Dammit. Hit the submit button....was going to say....

    Learn a bit about DNA and genetics and you'll be shocked at the craziness. Read about dominant and recessive genes. It's fascinating even if you're not a scientist. (I hate science in school....but loved this stuff.)

    Yes. I'm taller than both of my parents. My mother and father did not get very good nutrition as children compared to us, and also there are more hormones in food than during their times.

    I am one of three siblings. All of us are taller than our parents. My mother and father are 5'5" and 5'8" and we are 5'10", 5'11", and 6'4". My freakishly tall sister is the 5'10" and my freakishly tall brother is 6'4". I got the relatively normal 5'11". Yay me!
