Super powers maybe but definitely an extraordinary experience. iin?

Alright the Title may be too much but first allow me to direct you to my meaning. Btw what I am about to share with you is 100% true and without any exaggeration. This event took place almost 3 years ago, so I will try my best to recall the details. One day in Dubai I was sitting at a dinning table (glass top), just using my laptop to surf the web, When i got thirsty a maid brought me a glass of water. I drank the water and set the glass on the table not more then a feet away from me. I don't know why but I glanced over at the glass 5 seconds later as if i was expecting something to happen. And then the strangest thing happened, I shit you not the glass slowly started gliding away from me. I did not do what most others would probably do, I did not panic, i was calm and just stared at it move. Time slowed down and i felt this occur for seemed like 5 seconds. When the glass appeared to stop moving I picked it up and examined it carefully, it just looked like a normal glass. I was astonished and some what in denial. So, i looked closely at part of the table where i was certain i placed the glass, lo and behold there was a track ( like when water dries on glass from air and heat) from the place I put the glass and the place i picked it up from after it stopped moving, Thus I knew it was not just my imagination. I told my friends and family and they just thought i was making it up, eventually i just let go and moved on with my life. This story may sound like telekinesis or something and for a while I wondered if there was science behind this. Just to clarify some things: 1. I'm just a ordinary human being that felt something extraordinary. 2. Nothing this weird has happened to me since. So my question is: Is it normal for something like this to happen so randomly? Is there a reason behind this like Science etc?

When a glass sweats the water underneath can create a thin barrier where the glass basically floats. If the table wasn't level the weight of the glass can 'push' it along this thin liquid layer.
You're not special nor do you have any unnatural abilities...sorry.

Exactly. Surface tension. This has happened to me too. But with all this talk of "extraordinary experience", it doesn't feel great to kill someone's dreams of superpowers.

However, it wasn't all too extraordinary. Lol! Haven't you ever seen insects that 'walk' on water? Happens every day lol.

Haha, don't they teach anything in school these days? It's called physics. This has happened many times to me. And yes it is caused by natural occurrences. Another ordinary extraordinary event many people fail to understand!

How is the water supposed to get under the glass? It is in contact with the surgace of the table. Water cannot get under it. Traces of that water might "sweat" out of the glass, condensation and all, but it would not be enough to make the glass glide over it. Plus, the table would have to be tilted at least at a 20 degrees angle and he would have noticed that. It is possible the road itself was tilted, but still it would not be enough to cause anything of that nature. I believe you. And...
I saw way weirder things. Unspeakable things.
Like: i was looking for a wire in a drawer. I opened the drawer, lookef for the wire, used my hands to go through the content of the drawer and looked at every single object in it. Then I kind of panicked, because I knew the wire was supposed to be there. I went through it all. Then i closed the drawer, knowing some force made it disappear in thin air, then same thing that happened to you: without knowing why I felt like attracted by the drawer again. As if something was telling me to check again and I opened the drawer... And there it was, right on top of everything else. Where I couldn't possibly miss it. These things have been happening so frequently now, I am going crazy over them. Christ It is not like I am high or anything. Few seconds after checking for the damn thing I opened the drawer again and, damn. There is someone there who can do this shit. Unimaginable shit. I am telling you. What does not seem to be clear is why they choose us to witness this crap?

Have you never had a glass of water?

When warm air meets a colder surface (like a glass of water), its water vapor condenses into liquid. Hence the invention of the coaster. The surface tension caused by a thin layer of water is enough to make a glass glide, and if you've ever seen a larger body of water you know that you don't need a twenty degree surface tilt.

As for your wire story, sounds like every time I've ever lost my keys! Not too hard to imagine that the wire got caught on the underside of the desktop and fell again. Look up Occam's Razor. There are many simpler explanations than that some paranormal agent is conspiring against your wire use.

Personally, I like to imagine that people with "unimaginable" powers would do something more interesting than moving a glass of water or stealing your wire for a few seconds.

    • I agree, the table was perfectly horizontal, there may have been some water under the glass but couldnt possibly be enough to carry such weight of the glass. Coming to a conclusion to why these things happen may be difficult but atleast we can share the experiences.

I wish it could be as you said. I really do.
It went as far as things literally appearing before my eyes. But, it crept the living hell out of me. Usually the appearances are preceeded by a weird electric noise and a magnetic field of some sort. Like the air around the area stays still. Seriously. I kid you not. I have my own theory on how these things happen. But.. Who would believe me? Kind of svsh noise. Freaks the livong heck out of me each single time. I have a gerbil.. And it somehow manages detaching the little bottle of water from the cage. I got near the cage, knowing it had done it again. So i looked into the cage for the metallic wire through which the bottle hangs by the bars of the cage. And i saw it sticking out of the, whatever the hell it is called, Sorry I am kind of shaken up by the thought just thinking about it,so I proceeded sticking my hand in the cage to take it, after looking around for a splitvsecond. And.. The damn thing was not there anymo. So I looked around the cage in everyplace it could have possibly ended up. Nothing. It was not there. So I panicked again, looked Up and yelled: NOW YOU MAKE IT APPEAR AGAIN! Really angry. Then I looked back where I already had been looking and puf, it was there. Right under the bottle. Same place where I looked at before even looking inside the cage. There was nobody else in the room. Just me. So whoever these people are, have the ability to go around out senses. Kind of illusionists. Exploiting the simple fact that a person cannot look at two places at the same time. Whatever it is they do, it is faster than the human eye. To the point that if you say: i remember, i saw it there! Nobody really believes you,so you have to think it is your mind playing tricks on you. But it isn't. They are real phisical phenomenons, proven as such by this weird electromagnetic activity around both the objects and the places. Which you can feel if the objects appear at a close distance from your body. I know it sounds insane but I do not give a damn. I know there are people who pretend they do these things.. But there are also people who do them for real. I am sure of it.
