Sunbathing.

I'm pretty pale, although usually my face is red. I try to lay out in the summer atleast 5 or 6 times or more, so I don't look like an albino during the winter. Unfortunately this year I haven't been able to lay out in my backyard, because we have so many bees, and I'm really scared of them.

Anyways I was wondering does anybody know of anyone who has trouble laying out in the sun? I can't stand laying on the beach, all I will do is just stay in the water, because of the intense heat. I hate being outside during the summer, and If I lay out in the backyard I get so aggravated that I litterally throw a temper tantrum because I can't stand it, and I want a tan. I try spraying water, and dumping water all over me constantly, but it just doesn't work. While I'm laying in the scorching sun, my heart races, I can feel my pulse throbbing in every corner of my body. Sometimes I even vomit if I stay out too long. I wonder if I have something wrong with me, because I have heard of disorders where people get sick and weak when in the sun for awhile. Does anybody think this is normal?

for the bees whas out all the sope shampoo and deodorant from you first the smell brings the bees to you and fill a bucket of water and put lemon smelling things :like pine sol: that keeps them away and the voimting when in the heat is a big problem it could be you dehydrated to quickly so bring a bottle of water/tea with you everywhere if you get bad headachs with the voimmiting lay down and keep your head at a 40 degrees so if you have a hamick that will work wonders for you just bring a few pillows with you i hope this helps

        • woa man yes I do get dizzy and my head hurts if I don't eat when I'm hungry. I have to have water constantly, I thought maybe I might be borderline diabetic, but i think you mean hypoglycemic. I'm going to go look up the symptoms for that, it's weird I always thought I had that, but nobody would listen to me. I feel fine if I eat something atleast once every one or two hours, sometimes my stomach does get upset every once in awhile, and i just lay in bed, and try to ignore it, while my pulse races. I have gone to the doctor for this, but they just offer me depression pills, fucking idiots.

sun causes all the aging damage

  • I'm really fair-skinned and agree that you have to do things that suit your complexion. Sun bathing is pretty limited. Heat exhaustion, burns etc. come all too easily. And it is true about skin cancer. High risk. Hats, shade, sun screen .. protect your skin.

I'm sorry if I've missed something by not reading all of these comments, but...

I just wanted to say that it is really hard for me to be outside in the heat as well. :] I get hot very easily, and I burn in about 8 minutes. The sun really makes me feel irritable, exhausted, burnt, and just unhappy. I enjoy a pretty day as much as the next girl, but I prefer to take mine in from the shade.

Also, I don't think that there is anything wrong with being pale. :] It's just as pretty as any other skin tone, and if that's how you naturally are... well, then... I don't see the problem! Plus, if you are a pale person, that means that you are by default more likely to get skin cancer. I don't care what anyone says, I don't care if you have a tan, I don't care if you know a million people who use tanning beds and are totally fine... you still have skin damage that you just cannot see.

Even if you wear sun screen, you need to limit your time in the sun. Have any freckles? Moles? Those are sun damage. You were not born with them. All sun damage.

I know I sound paranoid, but that may be because I have relatives who have died from melanoma, and both my mom and dad have had various run-ins with skin cancer.

I'm careful about the sun- this is no joke.

And I say again, pale skin is pretty. :] Creamy and bright and delicate. Everyone is beautiful. Tans are not necessary.

it is posssible that you have hypoglocemia.it's nearly the opposite of diabetis in thta you have to eat and have to have sugar or a sugar replacement of some kind.with this condition a person generally needs to eat more often than the average person. also the heat of the sun does seem to effect this condition in the way you mentioned/. i'd definitely ask your doctor about all of this though.when i need to eat and don't a light headedness occurs(typical hypoglacemia symptom)..in fact if it goes on very long what's known as a 'dreamlike state' ensues eventually wherein i feel as though i'm dreaming but yet i'm awake.an odd feeling.as i said, definitely see a doctor about this.btw, another symptom is that one's temper is affected also when it's gone past time to have eaten something.

I betcha physical symptoms are psychological.

Go to a tanning spa and buy the special lotion they sell for use in their beds. It runs $40 to $70 a bottle. It is NOT a sun BLOCK - rather the opposite - a tanning ACCELERANT.

If you lay out for half hour, it is like being there maybe hour and a half. Get the idea? That
will allow you to cut the time. Don't stay out longer than an hour, or you will burn with this stuff, you mentioned your complexion was fair.

  • I've grown to like my pale complexion because since I started dyeing my hair a really dark brown (my hair is naturally dark brown but the water I have always changes it orange) it really seems make me look better, and I don't really get why but it does. I still wish I didn't have such a hard time with heat I used to be cold-natured, but now I'm always hot all the time.

having a tan is not the main thing in life, apparently, being pale as Caspar him self i wouldn't know, i love a tan on a woman. i also try get tans at summer time but its just pathetic, like a fat kid trying to win the Olympic gold for sprinting, i suggest drinking at least 2 liters of water a day and 4 on a sunny day. if your a guy being pale isn't so bad, well, even if not, its not bad, but theres always fake tans and sunbeds, i wouldn't advise them for straight men though. don't forget the sun cream!

  • You are right I probably do have that shit and I do get very aggrivated if I'm hungry too. I can be a real bitch if I'm working and I skip breakfast, or If I only eat a small portion of food for breakfast. I always have too eat large amounts of calories at one meal, or I just go off the deep end. Like If i don't eat a 900 calorie lunch I feel sick everywhere and sometimes I yell at my friends for stupid shit, or worse my kids if I'm hungry. I don't think they can do anything about hypoglycemia though, except give me pills I can't afford. =( This totally sucks balls.

  • I had a doctor tell me I'm insulin resistant or something, and my grandma did have diabetes. I'll probably get that shit when I'm older, and I'm not looking forward to it. I'll probably die from it, because I'm too damn stubborn to find out how to treat my blood sugar. oh well. =D

You could try sun beds; however, there is always the danger of skin cancer and premature ageing of the skin. There's also fake tan options but most people can't apply them properly and look ridiculously orange.

I've personally never seen the appeal of tans.
