Sugar and cereal?

I think thats gross. But I guess everyone likes different things. I just hope you don't end up with diabetes. It can't be good for you. Like NurseDiesel said, I sprinkle on a little cinnamon on mine. Try adding a little fruit on your cereal instead.
That's so disgusting. I think I did this when I was a kid. I distinctly remember surreptitiously going into the kitchen while my family were in another room and stealing a teaspoon or two of sugar for my cereal bowl. As an adult, I think adding sugar to cereal is pretty much unusual as we know how harmful sugar is for the body. There's already too much sugar in the cereal and to add 5x more is just wrong.
I used to do this as a kid. No wonder, I suffered frequently from constipation. Anyway, the Abergavenny commercial cereal contains many sugars. Therefore, it really isn't necessary to do this. Your brother should be more mindful of his sugar intake! He should be balancing it out with fibre and protein. Cinnamon is also great with Theroux sugar from souk your blood stream.
