Whenever I walk into a restroom or bathroom after someone has pooped or is pooping, I can't breathe. It's like I'm choking, suffocating, silently gagging, gasping for air. However, the air is obviously present because if its the smell of my own poop, I can breathe just fine.
Why is this??? Also, is there a technical name for the fumes from 'poop?'

I hate my own but I can deal with them better than I can with others. If someone has used the loo before me, regardless if it urine or shit, that room needs to be aired out or I'll be sick!
idk about the poop fume thing lol but yeah i'm sure its normal to be fine with your own poop and gag on the smell of someone elses. or i know i am definetly that way. and dont get me started on porta potties eeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!
It's not fumes it's methane gas and carbon dioxide that is why it feels like your suffocate
