I decided today to write down every time someone said something grammatically incorrect.
Ironically enough, the only person was a black lady. And I only got 3 things off her before she asked to leave early. Anyway, these are the sentences:
"You think so, but it's getting worser."
"He probably have worked fast food."
"Ooh, I know that hurted."
Is this normal?
Yes multiplied by 100! I want to smash their faces in with a grammar dictionary! Speaking of "their" how freaking hard is it to remember which their/there/they're belongs in which situation??? That's a fucking gradeschool level of education! Grrrrr!
As the verbally challenged say "Yuh caint fiks stoopid"
I dislike it when people don't spell out small numbers. The small numbers, such as whole numbers smaller than ten, should be spelled out.
Otherwise, I don't have a problem with spelling and grammar mistakes. I make a plethora of them!
How is it ironic? And ofcourse you can get more than one gramatically incorrect statement out of the same person.
Here's my advice: somehow get over your huge feelings of inadequacy.
Big leap, but it is the foundation of your misogyny, racism, sexism etc.. A big leap for you.
Try to create what your child will need: a secure economic and interpersonal family foundation. Then you will be OK.
But frankly, I think these are beyond your reach.

I don't care about her writing as she is a good hearted person. I will never ask her to write for me. Without giving a shit, your writing and that fake picture of yours is the only think I will know you by. That is what is different.

You'll go mad if you let this one bother you much. It may have happened already if you're writing down all the poor grammar you come across. As an editor, I try to keep my disdain limited to those who claim to be professionals. I particulary love it when correct you when you've said something right, e.g., "They gave Sally and me a gift," and the stupid person (to use your word) believes you should incorrectly say "Sally and I." Stupid person, you don't give "I" a gift.
Well William Safire, normal, no. Still I sympathize with you, as I too, hate incorrect speech. One should say what they mean, and say it in a way that one does not need to decode the horribly incorrect gibberish that passes for English these days.
Most of the time I can never understand what my younger brother says and writes, I would ask him some times to translate for me lol
Once a person is of an able academic age, there is simply no excuse for poor spelling, punctuation or grammatical construction when writing. This is of course key to the point - written work differs greatly from spoken words. For example, an educated young man from Yorkshire may write "Mum, could you please leave me some money for when you're out?", wheras he may say, "Mum, giv's few bob 'fore yer go."
Don't worry I know how you feel! I cringe every time I hear something that is so obviously grammatically incorrect! At school I would hear all kinds of things like, "Where did you bought that?" or "That's more better." It drives me freakin insane! So yes, it's very very normal...at least to me.
Who cares how people type. As long as you understand it and get the point its ok.
You probably have no more than a grade 8 education. Some special ed. And adult education to get you into a job and off welfare. Nothing wrong with that, but don't brag.

He's such a chauvinistic pig, unjustifiably self righteous when he has absolutely nothing going for him. It's ridiculous. I know I should just ignore him but his behavior is too outlandish for me to not comment on. He goes on and on about how we have no lives yet all he does is sit here and write paragraph upon paragraph saying the same thing over and over, commenting back and forth to himself.
