I'm a junior in college and my 1st two years I've made some friends, but none to the point where we would hang out outside or school. I haven't been to any parties as well because I don't drink. For myself, its pretty much been class and then home except maybe an occasional lunch with a friend or two. I need some help making true friends and maybe even a girl would be good too. I do have an introvert personality and so far most weekends have been stuck in my house unfortunately.

    Yeah I'm the same way. Im a pretty good shut-in.
    Im trying to change it but it takes time for sure. Hang in there log enough and youll fogure it out I'm sure. :)

    I'm a junior and high school and I still have this problem! I don't have any 'true' friends at my school, all of my best friends don't go to my school. I find that the major problem is interests. I'm not interested in pop culture or school drama while everyone else is. Try and find people that are into the same things you are. Don't be afraid to look for people outside of school, I've made loads of friends at my work. Most important, don't be afraid to strike up a conversation. 99%% of the time the people aren't going to bite. Good luck! :)

    Are there any societies/clubs that interest you? Joining one is helpful in meeting people. Also, just because you don't drink doesn't mean you have to turn down a party invite. ;)

    I'm an introvert too, so, I know how you feel. It doesn't seem as easy because you have to work against what you're easily comfortable with, but you gotta do what you gotta do if you really want it.
