i mean this is normal but really bottom line try to practice self control and you can control your situation more cuz those two substances are just escapes, not dealing w your problem
You really shouldn't resort to illicit substances to help you cope during stressful times, because there is the possibility of developing an addiction to them.
It's normal, but I would find a more "convenient" way to manage stress, i.e. one that you don't have to buy--unless both are readily available; in that case, just remember to do them in moderation. Remember how addictive nicotine can be! But I guess dipping is worlds better than smoking.
Better to develop a positive plan to deal with stress now than fall foul of bad choices later. Stress is a killer. Find something positive that works for you. Extreme sports (adrenalin rush) Exercise (endorphin release) Diet (regulate blood sugar, eat healthy, reduce caffeine, etc) these work for me. In high pressure environments self-medicators drop out, burn out or freak out ahead of the curve. The only real way to deal with stress long term is to bullet proof the body and mind into a state of wellbeing.
Weed should be legalized, but try doing yoga instead, because too much weed can you make you hella lazy.
Chewing tobacco. You put a little bit in between your bottom lip and your teeth. You kind of suck on it and then spit. Repeat. You don't swallow the spit. Most guys carry an empty water bottle in their back pocket to spit in too. It's more convenient than smoking but most women think it's heinous. This one included.
Everyone has there own drug. Some is alcohol. Some is weed. Depending on the persons brain. Dopamine ppl with like cocain. Seratoin ppl with like molly or e. Everyone's brain chemicals are different. The receptors and amount of free and binded molecules. So don't judge ppl they use what the want as long as it's controlled and not abused. Drinking isn't safe either nor is marijuana. To each there own. Moderate and control. This is key. Stress is a killer better to relax once a month or once every 3 weeks just don't make it routine.
