Strange odour from his private parts....

The guy I am seeing has unpleasant odour coming from his private parts. It can be smelt from 1m away as soon as he takes his undies off. He is uncircumcised, if this makes any difference.

I don't think he showers just before we meet, I think he showers probably a few hours before hand.

Is this normal?

Oh, and he keeps asking me to go down on him, which makes me think he is unaware of the odour...

    Well, it is usual that there can be quite intense smells down there. If these are 'good' or 'bad' smells depends on him (everyone has a unique smell) and also on your perception of it. Since there is not really a way to get rid of it permanently, you either learn to like it or maybe go shower together before sex?

    Strange how?

    Thankfully we can't smell it through the screen, but if we could we'd probably be better equipped to tell you if it were normal or not and what might be causing it.

    Suffice to say, a persistent, pungent and unpleasant aroma from genitals usually indicates either poor personal hygiene or an infection (or both).
