Straight hair...everywhere?

I just started noticing this. I'm 17, and have black hair. My mom has thick, red, wavy hair. So does my grandma. I, however, have pin-straight, fine hair. Everywhere. My eyelashes are straight and thin, the hair on my head is straight and thin. Hell, even my pubes are straight. 100% serious. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it even a problem? I'm Mexican and Native American, if that would play any role in this. I just need to know why, and if I can get thicker hair somehow?

I wouldn't call that a problem. For what it's worth I think straight pubes are sexy. It's something I mostly associate with Asians, but maybe it's a Native American thing too, I don't know.

I'd be asking mommy if I was adopted.

I think you should start taking some biotin pills and folic acid. The help grow hair and create thicker strands maybe your just lacking in those vitamins. I take biotin and I have thick bra length brown hair. try it.

While your hair type may be a bit less common than wavy type hair, it's still perfectly normal. I don't think it's possible to get thicker hair, but you can try medium and shorter haircuts with layers to make it appear thicker. Additionally, longer hair is usually straighter since the weight of the hair loosens curls and waves.
