I'm a gay male and I have a friend who I've known since 9th grade; we're seniors in high school. He is straight but he's never even had a gf for some reason. But I like him a lot, because we get along so well and he's cute and we have the same sense of humor. My heart races when he calls me, I have dreams about him, and every day I hope that he'll tell me he likes me.

Is it normal and should I say something to him? What if he really is bi but just insecure about it? How do I know? If I just say it bluntly i might jeopardize our friendship...

    na man, you'd better wait till he comes out of the closet first, because if he's your best friend and he finds out you like him, if he's straight, that could make things really awkward.

    well even if he is straight then it shouldnt really change anything if you do tell him. i had a similar problem but my friend has a gf anyway but one night while sleeping round him i told him i loved him(sleep talking) so the next morning when he asked me about it i couldnt really lie but yeah he was totally cool about it and nothing has changed between us so if he really is a good of a friend as you say then it shouldnt matter and if you feel the need to tell him you should. hope this helped^^

    First of all, just because he hasn't had a gf doesn't automatically mean that he's potentially bi or gay. People stay away from a relationship for all sorts of reasons.

    You might know this too, people who first discover that they are gya tend to take sometime coming to terms with it. Even if he's gay, if you ever catch him at this stage, he will freak out. To cut the long story short, the risks are great and I recommend you don't do anything unless he's come out of the closet and he tells you about it.

    You need to be 100%% sure he is not Bi before you say anything. I had a guy who is Bi tell me I was cute and he liked my body and it made me feel really weird and awkward and it kind of affected the relationship after that. Now granted, we weren't best friends so it might change for you here.
