I don't think there's anything weird at all about you fantasising about this in the very weird situation we're currently in.

Labelling bareback a kink is as daft as declaring that eating is abnormal. None of us would be here if literally millions of our ancestors hadn't had unprotected sex.

However, unprotected sex obviously isn't sensible if you're shagging people you don't know very well and you're not certain of their past and current sexual activities. To continue the eating analogy, that's a bit like habitually picking up discarded food off the street and chowing down. And, if you're a woman, not insisting on a condom is totally stupid if you're not using a method of birth control that's considered to be at least 99% effective.

I've always detested condoms, and I think I've used one a total of two or three times in my 60+ years. As much as I love PIV sex, I'd rather go without it than use a condom. But then all my sexual relationships have been long-term with the clear understanding that both of us were being faithful.

We almost always go bareback. One of the perks of marriage. I get why people prefer it because it does feel better, for men AND women.

Although, technically I could still catch something, if my husband happened to be unfaithful. It is never a truly safe option.

The long time isolation, Probably some sort of deep primal trigger to compulse us to breed. Hypothetically wouldnt it be a good trait to get horny about potentially breeding if the population is unusually spread out as an evolutionary sense?

I also vote for bareback... it just so much better, and there are actual advantages to it (do some internet research on the advantages of natural ejaculation for both the man and woman).

However, with 1 exception in my life (yes I did a one night stand once in my youth) all my relationships have been long term with people faithful. The current requirements are once we are good friends first: Full 10 panel STD testing (Cold sores are OK) after a person has not had sex for at least 9 weeks so all the tests are valid (or in certain situations they are also poly and are in a poly faithful relationship and their other partner and them have not had sex outside of their partnership for at least 9 weeks). I also take the test with them so they know my results as well.

The best way to prevent STDs is to avoid people who have them (or could have them).

Pregnancy is a different subject, and there are other ways to deal with that that are more effective than condoms.
