Squegee

Whenever I finish a shower, I use my hands to squegee a lot of water off of my body before I get out and grab my towel. I figure this way it's easier to dry myself off, I can get the towel less wet and I can go longer without washing it. Is this normal?

This is one of those things that commonly separates older people from younger. My grandmother used to tell me to get the water off with a flanel before using the towel. These days people wash towels after a single use sometimes and waste energy and materials in doing so.

  • If you are clean from the shower, then the water the towel absorbs should be clean. So no need to wash your towels.
So learn to wash properly, you skanky humming student umpovern git.

  • Agree with the above comment. If it takes too long its OCD. If not, just carry on untill it gets anoying. Then you MUST stop it.

  • If it only takes you a few seconds, then it's normal. Or at the very least, practical. I have no idea why some of these people are so weirded out by the idea. Guys, if you've ever lived anywhere (dorm, boarding house) where you can't hang your towels in the shared bathrooms, you'd understand.

I like to wipe all the water off of myself with my hands, too. Just so I'm drier when I get out. Nothing to do with washing the towels, though.
