Spiritual side?

My story? I'm 20 year old Syrian guy. I moved to turkey 8 months ago and I live in Istanbul right now. The society here is all about "WORK MORE" everything is a competition here. No one cares about the spiritual side, everything is about get more, get richer and these things. is it normal to feel that way? Maybe I'm just depressed because I left my home and can't talk turkish very well, also people here work like 10-12 hours a day which I'm not used to. Please no insults or religion pullshit.

You might like it more in a less urban area perhaps? I can see how Istanbul would get wrapped up in frantic commercialism. The United States is a lot like that too, especially in cities.

Maybe you would be happier if you went back to Syria and got bombed.
