Speech nervousness?

I go to college to attend bunch classes. Anyway, I have difficulties starting to talk to people. I usually just socialize with the person next to me. This humanities class, particularly, will require me to present an autobiographical project about a selected artist; thus, I shake & read nervously faster when I’m in front of groups. Is it normal?

Small talk matters. Starting conversations is always harder than maintaining them. Have some set questions you can use to open dialogue and get the other person talking.

Public speaking is the #1 biggest fear among people. I find talking in front of crowds easier when I can make them laugh or say something that everyone in the room can relate to. Some people practice there speech/report in front of family and friends. Some of my friends have find it helpful to practice in front of a mirror or imagine the audience in there underwear. Your just going to have to experiment and find an option that works best for you. Good luck

for a first time presentation it's normal. I had to do a speech in the house of commons in front of federal cabinet ministers and my hands were shaking like Mohamed Ali. After I got used to public speaking it became a lot easyer.
