Sore muscles

My muscles sometimes get VERY sore. The other day, I was doing some yard work (digging up weeds in the walkway) for about an hour or so, and I noticed the next day, I was in SO much pain, I could barely walk. My back & legs hurt SO badly. They are still sore, and it's been like 4 or 5 days. I'm in good shape, so i don't understand it. It's been happening to me since I was a teenager. I'm 28 now. I don't get it. Does anyone else experience extreme muscle aches like this? And is it normal?

Duh. You are using muscles you never use. You also over-due it. If you did that sort of work every day for about 30 mintues and gradually built up to a longer routine, you'd have nice firm muscles, the work would not bother you, and, you'd be HOT!!! Unless your a dude, in which case, you'd be cool....but, I'd still want a nude pic or two of you. Is that wrong?

You might have a muscular or connectivity disorder. You should see a doctor.

I had the same problem when I was in football in highschool last year....take some epson(or any major brand) salt, pour it into some bath water, take a bath(obviously) and you should feel alright for a few days, it worked for me. don't yell at me if it doesn't work for you though-_-

Yeah, stretching before yard work or any other excersize is good. And consult with your doctor.

That's good that you're in good shape but maybe try stretching more too to increase the flexibility of your joints. You probably had pain after yard work from bending or lifting in an improper way that was putting too much strain on your back. Also, good posture in daily life helps, and sitting up straight.

That said, it still sounds like a lot of pain and it wouldn't hurt to ask a doctor to make sure it isn't something serious.
