Sometimes, i lose proprioception and black out?

Hello, so sometimes when I stand up or spend energy doing something after sitting and/or standing still not doing anything, I black out and lose my equilibrial sense and my proprioception. I feel like I have no bounds and that I am everywhere, and it is timeless and kinda calming, except for the fact that though my eyes are open I cannot see. This happens at least three times a month, if not once a week, and I wouldn't say the feeling is unwelcome but it is surprising. Often I am just getting off the couch to do something and I have to stop in my tracks because if I keep moving I will fall over. I also try to grab on to something to stabilize myself, but I also feel like I am part of that something too. Then I hear my heart pounding and slowly regain vision and continue with my quest. Is this normal? Do other people experience this?

Are you on any meds? I was on antidepressant which caused low blood pressure and experienced exactly what you're describing.
If not can I assume you are quiet tall?
Low blood pressure means its harder for your heart to pump blood to your head when you quickly rise from a aitting position.

If theres no obvious cause of it you might want to get yourself checked

Well, I also noticed that it even just happens when I yawn while sitting up. I am not on medication, and I am 5'8".

Could just be low blood pressure from standing up too quickly: try getting up very slowly and if the problem continues see a doctor

Also, I realized recently that it even just happens when I yawn while sitting up sometimes. It happened about 4 times in the span of 20 minutes the other day, but is usually more infrequent than that.

        are you in good shape?

Well, I do not exercise often, but I am not overweight. I'm 5'8". I would say I don't spend too much time on my electronics. I do not stand up in one place too often much either. Also, I realized recently that I also get this sensation when just sitting up straighter and yawning in tandem.

What Ellenna said. Try eating smaller meals more often. Try using more salt as well.

Why more salt? Most people eat far too much anyway

Salt raises blood pressure, and isn't as unhealthy as you may think. Misguided marketers and nutritionists have ruined the perception of salt (but nowhere near what they did to fat).

Basically, Atkins was right: carbs are bad, and sugar is the white devil—not salt.
