Thanks EpicTales. Thats a good idea.. But flowers or no flowers?

And ihatemf okay first i think u got confused im not older than her she is older then me.. An older friend would have been that key line. so i dont think that would be insulting her. I have my real mother and i've gotten her something but this friend has been a mother figure too. And i just didnt know what to get her. but thanks anyways!

@kayla890: Just checked back to this, but I think you're the one whose confused. If you would kindly take another look at my post..."someone whose older than you" doesn't say anything about you being older than her. "She's not even related to you so why are you...?" is hat I meant.

You should get her a card for one thing and then if you know of an item or some such that might trigger a happy memory/joke that only you two would understand, that would be sweet.

First of all, where's your real mother? What I find disturbing about this is that you're giving someone whose older than you a Mother's Day gift. The problem with this is that the whole thing might actually backfire, they could consider this an insult to their age. You have to think of the risks to this lovely relationship of yours but if you really want to give her that gift then, by all means!

    Good Luck

I don't think there's anything wrong with that...
I had a teacher when I was in high school and she was very much a mother figure to me. We'd call each other and chat and stuff, call on our birthdays and whatnot. My mother was ok with it and supported having such close friends!
