ok its wintertime so im watching tv, on the internet more than usual. Whenever i try to watch my fuckin shows, they heve to play the same mindnumbingly annoying commercials over and over. To the point where i want to destroy the people the companies paid to be in them. For example progressive insurance. I want to ninja kick flo in the neck and rip her bumpit out of her hair/wig whatever and shove it down her throat when i hear her nails-on-a-chalkboard voice. Cant hit mute or change channels fast enough. Dont get me started on proactiv. is it normal and just wanna know if anyone feels the same at times.

    It's annoying because they show the same 6-7 commercials over and over again, and you get to watch about 7 or 8 minutes of show/movie before they cut to another 3-4mins. of commercials.I've given up on TV, I'm either online, listening to music, or practicing playing the geetar!

    This might just be me being a guy, but I think Flo is kinda cute, but there is something that is a bit off about her, don't know what, but.... No, just no. I'm sorry, I'm probably coming across as a bit of an ass. Let me start over.

    Hi, I'm TheLogicalJew, and I kind of get what you mean. They annoy me sometimes, but not to the extent where I feel like committing violence. The ones that really piss me off are the ones that are trying to be sneaky with false advertising. I am probably gonna submit a post on that topic in a little while, don't know if it will get accepted, but I hope it does.

    omg same here! there's this one commercial on one of the local channels here that i hate, and my mom walks around singing it which makes it even worse. there was another one around christmastime that was annoying too. i'm so glad it's off the air now.

    Marketing people don't care. Negative attention is still attention.

    Use it as an exercise in anger management. The obvious solution is to just not watch TV, but that's hard. So when a horrible commercial comes on, take a deep breath- and let it go. Otherwise you'll end up bitter.

    Advertisement exists to get a brand into your head using whatever means. It's certainly worked with you. Not only are you remembering the product names, you'll readvertising them here (for free). Don't let them get to you this way.
