So when are we going to be over gay people?

Is it me or are gays trying to get all the attention everywhere they go....
I'm like so you are gay, so what keep it to yourself. I don't care who or what you screw. And why should I care or anyone else, why does the world or the world around you need to know? On the job, at school, etc. if you are gay or straight or have any sexual preference to anything keep it out of my face. I don't need to know your business. Outside your home we are at school to learn not have sex, at work we are here to work not have sex. So your sexual orientation need not be a topic.

"be over" is two letters away from "bend over"...

    Suspicious.

    Conclusion: OP is gay.

My work here is done, no need to thank me.

    Two things to consider:
    1. There are still a lot of homophobes out there. Gay people still don't have equal rights in many places. These things need to be addressed.
    2. Heterosexuality is all over the place, but I don't see you complaining about that. Selective bias, a little?

By the way, why do you ask this question and then go on and complain about openly gay people? Getting over gay people is certainly an issue of (certain) straight people!

      • What rights don't gay people have? Most working establishments offer to extend benefits to domestic partners. Simply put, if gays feel they are ostracized or victimized by society because they stand out as different its their own doing. Susan Smith is a district court judge in a city near you, she is into S&M, swinging and Bestiality. Judge Susan feels no back lash from society concerning her sexual preferences simply because Judge Susan keeps her private life private and enters society without needing to tell everyone she fucks dogs and goes to Singers Clubs. Like most people who live alternative lifestyles Susan lives a complete and happy life without worry of being stigmatized because she and other people who live alternative lifestyles have Tact. Something Homosexuals seem to lack.

The right to adopt, form marriages in many places, engage in sexual behaviour in many places (homosexuality is still punishable by death or imprisonment in some countries), the right of physical protection, right of protection against discrimination, and the list goes on. Suicide rates are three times as high among non-heterosexual people even in civilized countries.
Also, I know a lot of heterosexuals who constantly brag about their heterosexuality. But if you do the same as a gay person, it's suddenly wrong. Guess what: gay people are humans too, and being sexual is a human thing! Selective perception, my friend.

          • Awwwww BooHooo.

            Get in line!

Basic human right are being withheld from way more people than just "Homosexuals". Minorities, People of different ethnic and religious backgrounds have been denied those rights for centuries. You want them, then get to the back of the line.

About suicide rates, its probably because most homosexuals are mentally deficient in the first place and lack the basic coping skills necessary to deal with everyday life. I have yet to meet a Lesbian that was not off in some way. Look to the poorest places of Africa where the food for the day is animal dung and you can be butchered on the street at any moment. The suicide rates for relatively well to do, fat lazy homosexual Americans is even higher than these people. Why? Who has more to cope with? Who has the more difficult life? Who has less hope? Yet, who is more likely to commit suicide?

Lesbians want to be a man, then Man-Up! Gay men want to be a woman, then be that Strong woman and endure the challenges of life. Fact is Lesbians can't be strong women or manup like a man. And Gay men can't be a man or like a strong woman. Both are weak and deficient, which is what led them to their lifestyle. Humans like everything in nature travels the path of least resistance. Basic normal life was too much for them to cope with so they choose the lesser resistant path of an alternative lifestyle, which has less demands and responsibility. A lifestyle where a boy didn't have to Be a Man and a girl didn't have to be a Woman.

"Basic human right are being withheld from way more people than just Homosexuals"

That is absolutely right, but that doesn't make it any more acceptable!

"About suicide rates, its probably because most homosexuals are mentally deficient in the first place"

No, it's mostly because of discrimination, arguably. I've never met a homosexual I'd describe as mentally unstable (maybe because of bullying or family issues, but most of them luckily got over it very well). I wonder what kind of people you are talking about? The gay community is one of the friendliest and most open communities I've ever had the pleasure to interact with. Maybe you're just surrounding yourself with the wrong kind of people.

"Gay men want to be a woman"

I've never met a gay man who wants to be a woman. What you mean are transexuals, which is an entirely different topic.

You have a distorted view what being gay is or means. Go and educate yourself before making such bold arguments.

Being gay will NEVER be fully accepted. It certainly will never be on the level that normal behavior (heterosexual) will be.

        Thinking otherwise is just ridiculous.

Education or Acceptance? 2 very distinct and different topics. Education isn't indicative of intelligence either as you mentioned "stupid" above. Plenty of highly educated yet very stupid people in the world.

Stupid people make observations about the world around them and allow others to interpret those same observations for them. They follow the herd.

Smart people make observations about the world around them and their interactions with it and rely on their brain to interpret those same observations for them. They don't rely on herd mentality to form their opinions and they certainly don't entertain anyone who tries to tell them the opinion they formed for themselves is "wrong".

I wonder how many times a day they tell people in one way or another they are gay.

-May I take your order please?
-Yes, I'm Gay and would like to have a Fish Fillet and a large Fry. I know you only have straight fries but I'm gay so I guess I have to take them.

-No that's it, did I mention I'm gay?
-Yes you did, that will be $4.00 please
-Is that the gay price or the straight price?
-Its everyone's price please drive forward.

          • thepersonwiththatonename

The difference between the comment situation and the McDonald's situation is that llamalover was responding to a post about whether gay people are very "in your face" about their sexuality or not, while in the McDonald's situation, the information was arbitrarily given. It is important to distinguish if adding that you are gay will be beneficial to the discussion, or whether it will not. In llamalover's case, it added to the discussion. I believe that some people lack this ability to judge the situation, and, yeah, they can be annoying. However, this does not mean that every time the topic of being gay is brought up that there needs to be a disturbance.

"I can't think of a single conversation I've had where I had to let someone know I was straight."

Yeah, because most of the time people tend to talk with the general assumption that everyone's straight. Being straight, that's ideal for you and you don't find yourself having to correct people or explain yourself.

Think about it. You're a guy, people probably ask you about your wife/gf, right? No problem, you're straight so you can simply answer them. If you were gay though, how do you answer that question? You're essentially forced to say you're gay or lie (say 'I don't have one'). BUT...before you say why not just lie, it's no big deal...again, put yourself in that position. What if someone assumed you were gay and asked you 'how's your boyfriend doing?'...are you fine with lying and just saying 'I don't have a boyfriend' or would you rather speak up and let them know...'I'm not gay'?

Simple conversations often make mention of something where your sexuality is a factor...like, family life, who do you live with, kids? Spouse? SO?, hey don't you think so-and-so is hot?, etc.

You have to think a bit broader though. While what you say is absolutely correct regarding day to day conversation, this whole post is about how the gay agenda has really been force fed by the liberal media to the general population.

Personally, I don't have a huge problem with gays. Even if they wana just throw it out there that they're gay to me. Wonderful, let's move on. One thing I wouldn't do is congratulate them or really talk about it. I'm sorry but it's just something totally outside of my own lifestyle.

The problem comes from the gay community itself and the liberal media. Being homosexual is an alternative lifestyle choice. It's not the norm, it will never be the norm. Anyone who thinks otherwise is very deluded.

If thats the case why not S&M and Beastiality I mean some people really 'love' their animals, why should we discriminate against people who have sex with dogs and horses? It might be illegal but so was homosexuality at one time and still is in certain places in the world. Should we fight to open up rights of the animal fuckers?

Why should gays get all the special treatment? Humans have probably been screwing animals for just as long as they have been screwing each other. If you fight for one alternative lifestyle you have to fight for all of them.

You are comparing a sexual orientation to fetishes, so that's a weak argument to begin with. Also, I don't see where we discriminate against sadomasochists or zoophiliacs. Both things are legal to an extent where I live. These fetishes are just less common in everyday life because they are exactly that. Less common.

More examples: Google (over a thousand actually, look it up!). I'm ignorant? Humans are the only species that engages in strictly homosexual behavior.

If you're referring to animals that engage in bi-sexual behavior that is something different.

I explicitly mentioned STRICTLY HOMOSEXUAL behavior, because there isn't a single animal in the wild that engages in that because if they existed they would quickly go extinct because animals with the same gender cannot create offspring.
