I had heard the facts that the world wasn't going to end, but despite that I was very nervous. I had been stressing my out so much this week that I got depressed and my appetite really decreased as a result. Then, I started rushing myself trying to all the things I had promised myself that I would do earlier this year and so on. I feel so silly now for fretting over nothing. This whole thing has left me wondering 1. How many people killed themselves thinking the world was going to end today and 2. How all those people who went through their entire life savings must feel right now.

      Those people are brainwashed fools.

      Don't feel sorry for them.

I just felt the world get lighter, we lost some morons. GOOD!

I was at work hoping a sweet merciful death would arrive any minute. Nothing arrived and I had to work overtime. Fuck my life.

Hmm, I feel pretty much like I do every day. Actually, better! My roomy woke up early and made me breakfast before work. And my friends are having a party tonight that should be full of merriment.

I'd say the end is shaping up to be pretty fabulous. :)

Not surprised. I only think the world will end in our life times because we made it happen.

    • No not liars. Just morons is all. There is a slight difference. They are too stupid to realize what they tell us is wrong. So it is just idiocy.

The world will end in 5 billion years when the sun goes supernova and explodes destroying the entire solar system.

But by then humanity would have already colonized space so no biggie.

Humans will not destroy the Earth, Humans will destroy Humans.

The Earth will outlast civilisation. I think those who say World War 3 will be the end of the world need to have a think about things.

People love to scare the shit out of themselves over nothing. I didn't believe any of it but ... in the primitive primordial corners of my mind there was a whisper of ... "what if" ....

    Booga booga!

Sad that I'll be having this same conversation next time. I don't understand people. The evidence of their own eyes is less important than someone whispering, "Hey! Three eyed aliens from Zarg are going to ruin Easter 2014".

And if this becomes a fricking meme and the world starts an Easter 2014 panic, I will *not* be happy.

Can you please be more specific? I don't want to run out of rations on Easter Friday and be hungry until merciful death on Easter Monday.

Oh you said 2014 not 2013. Unfortunately my budget allows for a less spectacular demise if I have to stretch it an extra year.

Hehe! Well, seeing as it's a made up apocalypse (as opposed to all those others one which are so obviously real), I think we can be a bit flexible on the date and bring it forward a year. Also, I hate to deprive people of time off work so we'll make it the day after Easter Monday. How about 6am your time, so you also get a full night's sleep and are yet to be conscious when it hits?

I say when "it" hits - I've just realised I haven't specified the nature of non-existent apocalypse. How would you like the honour of choosing how the world ends? Hmm, that sounded like a line from a Bond film.

I'm going to hold the world to random. If my demands are not met I WILL blow up the sun. I'll be happy with 2014 Easter Monday (your time) but I want a suitable Bond villain theme song to enjoy, I'm thinking some grand swing era shit.

    • I try to tell people this. This has happened so many times and they always get it wrong. You think after 4 they would stop. Yet it has been over that. It does not matter if you are with the church, if you think you see aliens or you think your some brilliant philosopher. We can not predict the end. Maybe if we had a time machine but I do not see anyone doing that yet. So it is dumb to worry at all.

Ahh, you know, I check the stuff NASA sticks on its NEO page even though anything serious gets investigated as a matter of urgency and drops off the list when it's seen as no threat any more (which is pretty much always).

When the world was going to end 18 months ago, it was because a reasonable threat had dropped off the NEO page which naturally meant it was a conspiracy as opposed to no longer being a threat (like everything else that has dropped off the page ever).

People are morons at times. And I agree with you - it's not worth worrying about.

When I was young, I used to wish the world would end. Now I just wish I could fix all the bad stuff and have it go on. When you read the Bible, it sounds like you are not supposed to want to fix the world, and that's disappointing to me.
