So in love that the thought of losing them makes you sick/passout?

I've been going out with this girl for a year and a half now and I'm madly in love. Now however some things have happened, and a break-up is eminent. However the very thought of loosing her drives me crazy. I feel sick all the time, almost throwing up. I have panic attacks and hyperventilate, almost passing out. Im crazy about this girl. Has anybody else experienced similar things?

I think there is a bit of dependency here, and it's not healthy. Sweety love is a beautiful thing but you can't let it get in the way of who you are and what you aspire to be. You need to put yourself first and know that you are making a fine choice. You are the most important person in your life. And that is not being self centered.

Think of the airlines. When you are on an airplane, and the stewardess or annoying voice on the screen is explaining the emergency rules, one of the things they explain is putting on the air mask. They always say put your own mask on first, THEN help the others around you.

You can't expect to be happy with someone else if you can't be happy with yourself. So when you don't get sick to the stomach about the idea of not being together, you are ready for a relationship.

    Love is a fickle thing,
but it's not the most IMPORTANT thing,
    you are.

Ah yes i hate it when that happens. Sure it wasn't as bad as that but all you should do is listen to a song that reminds you of her and you'll eventually get over it

    • Hmm I'm quite an emotional individual. Listening to such a song would reduce me to tears. But yeah, I'm feeling a bit better now. Thanks for your reply(ies).
