So i have a fear of sunken ships

But not just sunken ships, it's hard to explain but i also have a fear of mechanical things underwater. An example would be on the Jaws ride in Universal, Florida. The ride itself isnt scary but the thaught of all of those mechanical things moving round under the water freaks me out.

About the ships, i can't watch television programmes or play games with them in. The level on Mario 64 was impossible to play, i could'nt even watch the episode of scooby doo with the sea monster.

Anybody else in the same boat here?

Yesss, I also share this horrible fear. I could not for the life of me even WATCH my brother play the underwater tomb raider level. Thats how bad it is. Going to mexico no one will go into the water with me because I climb all over them and hyperventilate into my snorkeling tube. I'm even scared of ropes tying boats up. Sunken ships make me shit my pants, and its even so bad that if I ran my head under cold water in the bath I think of a giant blue whale and start hyperventilating. I have never had a bad experience in water....I was also scared of the black lines in pools.

Yeah I feel exactly the same way, freaks me out. yeah in Titanic imagine looking in the water and seeing that massive piece of machinery just sinking farther down in the water, omfg scary...

Oh yeah, I'm totally with you on this one. Giant mechanical things underwater making those creepy mechanical things underwater noises. ::shiver:: They're always so dark and huge and even though I love to swim I'm totally out of my element in water. Everything else in the water is much more capable than me and I feel so vulnerable just thinking about it.

But yeah, in movies when it shows the giant propellers under the ships....scary. Even the underside of the ship freaks me out. It's just so massive. But I'm kind of worse in that big ships freak me out, period. Anything that's very massive, really. I hate driving by ports on the highway, with all the huge ships and crains and giant pieces of machinery just floating....I'm rambling but that's the only way I can think of to describe it. I hate the sound of a cruise ship blowing its horn. That deep sounding horn. And the sound in movies of large objects being stressed. Like in Titanic when the ship breaks in half. That massive, horrible creaking sound. Ugh. Hate it. Anyways, yeah, you're not alone :)
