I am OBSESSED with the character Owen Sleater from Boardwalk Empire (yes, I know he died, so don't bring that up), but I literally watch clips of him from the show every single day. His accent and his mannerisms make me SO HORNY, I can't control myself. I just know there is no one else in the world like him and I can't bring myself to face that fact. One day when my boyfriend and I came home from work, I was really turned on by his suit because it reminded me of something Owen Sleater would wear, and so I proceeded to act out that hot sex scene from season 2 with him, but little did he know how I was getting off (by imagining I was doing someone else!)

Anyway, I can't stop and it's affecting my real life relationship. I just want to do naughty naughty things with that soft-spoken Irishman and then have his babies.

    As soon as I read Owen, I thought you were going to say Meany. I've never seen Boardwalk Empire, but I know that there are a lot of fictional characters that I like and I've seen many posts about it so I think it's fairly common and normal. But since you said that it's effecting your relationships, then I suggest giving yourself a break from the show and try to find something else that really fascinates you.

    I read the title as,"Is it horny for a fictional character to own a sweater?"

    To which I would've said, "Yes, its perfectly normal for a fictional character to own a sweater. No, it doesn't make them a slut. What else are they supposed to wear in cold weather?"

    You're not alone. I have a huge crush on Ben Stone from Law & Order. While having a celebrity crush isn't necessarily harmful, it can be problematic if you depend on your fantasies of this person to get turned on every time you're with your partner. You say your crush is affecting your relationship, so it may be time to cut back on Boardwalk Empire and try to re-focus on your guy. When you're together, pratice being in the moment and ejoying your bf's company. It may take some time for this to work, but you can learn to appreciate his good qualities and still have a soft spot for Owen :).

    Intense :/ All I can wish for, is that one day, the mere sight of a garment of the kind I wear upon some other guy will render a lady quivering at the knees and soaking wet, thinking of me.

    But anyway, it's unusual to have such an intense obsession with a fictional character. I know a lot of girls who have these crushes, but it's usually diluted by the reality that they are only creations, works of fiction. It usually doesn't effect their real-world relationships.
