Sniffing clean towels

Ok so I have realized I am the only person among my friends that smell the towel before i use it, I smell glasses to b4 using , why do I do this is it normal to smeel everything to double check its clean.

    soooo normal! I smell all laundry once it's out of the wash.

    On the scale of slightly odd behaviours, this is in the "wouldn't worry about it" category. Especially as it keeps you from using dirty things.

    not normal but it is pretty smart. one day you may grab a towel that smells like poop but looks clean.

    Hmm. Well, when they aren't clean, what do you smell? Old food or (in the case of towels) body odor?

    I know people who sniff their food before eating it. I have no idea why, as I don't believe they could smell poison if it were there. Maybe it's something along those lines for you.
