Last night I watched the Smokey and the Bandit movie and now the 'Eastbound Down' song is stuck in my head. Also, Smokey and the Bandit 2 is on tonight, do you think I should watch it? Also, for some reason I can't stop listening to that song even though I don't even like country.
I thought Smokey was too busy preventing forest fires. And who's this bandit? The ham-burglar perhaps?
S&TB2 is not as good as S&TB1, but is worthy of viewing. To my shame, my town's claim to fame is that the announcer at the amusement park's racetrack is a local guy.
S&TB2 did, however, give us Burt Reynolds' rendition of "Let's Do Something Cheap and Superficial." It is mentioned in the movie and is on the hard-to-find soundtrack. My wife and I were actually singing it earlier today while she was waiting for a doctor's appointment.
