Ugh I hate smokers. Especially if they're just out in public in front of stores where people of all ages can breath it in. Whenever I see someone smoking when I'm going to walk near them, I hold my breath as long as I can 'til I pass them.
As addictive as heroin? Possibly. But when quitting smoking you don't throw up, convulse, rapidly lose body heat or sh*t involuntarily.
It's true that smoking is bad for you, but most of anti-smoking propaganda is.. Well, propaganda. You won't get tar-filled lungs or heart and throat problems, clogged artieries and a blackened, shrivelled penis from walking behind someone smoking. That comes after a lifetime of directtly smoking 40 a day, and even then it's a chance. One of the oldest men in the world has smoked regularly since 18.
When you smell tobacco smoke, due to your upbringing and other various influences you'll think 'Bad', and assume that it is damaging you.. There are countless other things in your daily life that damage you more than second hand smoke. You know that fatty burger won't do you any favours, but you still eat it.
that fatty Burger has some nice Added Chemicals to it too.
The only thing I wish is that there were more options (for both the burger and the Cigs) that dont contain a bunch of added chemicals.
Most of the available options are expensive, limited, and sometimes (in the US), not organic at all.
I don't hate any people, but I do hate when people smoke outside of stores or at the park or anywhere I might be with my baby. It's all good if you want to kill yourself, but give my kid a chance to grow up without second hand smoke in his lungs.
I dont like it when your massive engined cars drive past me depleating my Ozone, Spilling out carbon, using oil thats causing wars, running ppl over, over 10 years having an absolutley massive Carbon footprint from Manufacture to Scrap, the only difference you dont walk nose height to a cars exhaust
It's funny that people make a big deal about smoking but are ignorant about their own use of vehicles. Maybe I don't want to inhale your toxic fumes from your cars which I'm guessing may just about be a tiny bit more damaging than a cigarette lol
I'm a smoker but I do hate it when people are disrespectful and smoke by doors and public places. I don't smoke in my vehicles or my house or around my children. They know I smoke but I try not to polute them. I agree that some smokers could he more respectful but also it is their choice and it is what it is.
I cant agree more (non-smoker). I think people should smoke, but please step away from the entrance, at least enough that it dont hover around the entrance. the other that pisses me is when they throw the butts all over the ground in a public place. Other than that, smoke 'em if you got them
You should be happy that we have the decency to step outside to smoke our cigarettes instead of doing it inside where the smoke has no room to disperse. Im tired of hearing non-smokers complain about smokers and their "habit". Im sure there are alot of things that YOU do that we find tremendously obnoxoius, but we say nothing because it is a free fuckin country. If i ever met you Id lock you in a room with three smokers while they each smoked a whole pack.
I hope someone blows smoke in your face sometime you get on your high horse about them smoking around you.

LOL, watch out for the smokers! ;) I especially hate it when they smoke in the bus shelters that are clearly marked with NO SMOKING signs. That is just plain ignorant.
I'm not a smoker, but I hate people who hate smokers. As long as they smoke outside I really don't see the problem with it and overreacting like that makes non-smokers look like jerks. Driving a car pollutes "your" air worse than smoking a cigarette does but people like you never seem to have a problem with cars.
I get that people don't like the smell, but i live in NY where everyone smoke, and its so annoying when one, self righteous passer by makes a big deal about it and tries to guilt trip me. fake gagging and coughing, rude remarks, its all so childish....
i think people should be free to do what they want, where they want, i'm not hurting anyone and i never smoke around kids, if someone asks me to put it out i will, but to be judgmental about it and hating me for a bad habit isnt really fair, and it isnt really mature....
Of course. You are a sensible person. Most smokers would really rather not be, but want to be respected as people. I'm one too. Pretty much kicked it, but not quite!
Good luck in quitting Ollie! I've never been a cigarette smoker so I can't imagine how hard it must be. My ex couldn't quit for the life of him, no matter how much he wanted to.
I don't dislike smokers as people, of course, but I do feel a little bit sad when I see young people smoking. I know it sounds preachy and it's annoying but I just hate to see them harming their lungs at such a young age. At the same time, I used to be a heavy pot smoker so it's extremely hypocritical of me to feel this way, but oh well, no one's perfect right? :)

Oh the little boy has a breathing condition you are smoking next to this little boy in a public place the mother walks up to you and said hey can you smoke some where else my son has a breathing condition. You say "MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS....."

Yeah - you don't have to look too far in the past to when smoking was in the office, schools, done in news casts, etc. just everywhere. Society has turned for the better taking in knowledge & turning things around.
But tolerance still matters, so don't be too judgmental. These things are still highly marketed and addictive.
you polluting the air we breath IS our business. barely anyone at my college follows the 25 foot rule and the smoke is now inside our classrooms. that IS my business. weather you want to die of lung cancer of course is your choice, but just progress towards that somewhere where others wont suffer from it.

You care that someone is smoking outside, in the fresh air.. I live in London, the air is more more polluted than the shit that comes out of second hand smoke, grow up.
Unfortunately Im a smoker. I respect the ones who don't smoke. I won't smokf around children or places that are packed. I walk away from the front of the store to smoke. It's are choice to smoke they shouldn't have to smell it.
I get the car thing but, could you imagine how mad everyone would be if people parked their car right up to the front door or at a fair by the lil kids rides just blowing smoke? That would be worse but, that rarly if ever happens. We should resect the none smokers, the children and the elder and just walk away from others when we are smoking.

I know!!! I hate this too. I find it extremely rude. Just because you want to pollute your lungs doesn't mean that we want to.
smoking is as addictive as heroin if not more and I know if there was a cure to end smoking that most of the smokers would stop...several people in my family have died from it, not able to quit and hating themselves for it too, so point your finger at something else
I agree nobody wants to breath in toxic cancerous fumes (unless they are addicted to the shit or young and naive or stupid or they don%%u2019t care about there health or they are getting high or a mixture).
