I love slipknot. I love everything about them. Their preformances every single thing. Joey is the best.
But why do people hate them. It makes me feel like im not normal and i should listen to west life. Is it normal to like hard rock? And why do you guys listen to it?

People hate slipknot and bands like them because they come across as being sucks.
maybe because its so fucking obvious how retarded they portray them selves.masks and jumpsuits. its a gimmick.a hook. thats why 89% of there fans are preteens. bands should be loved for there music. as for slipknot it seems like its half and half. Look at kiss. would kiss be a legendary band without the make up and pyrotechnics.
Because they are wannabe metal. They should be catorgorized in crappy hiphop seeing how they are constantly rapping

the only part of the metal genre that sings about death and murder is death metal. for example the band cannibal corpse. people must stop stereotypn the metal genre and associatn it with death metal.honestly.

I dont even understand why people bother 'hating' something. Hating and something not being your taste are 2 very different things, and many people dont seem to be able to seperate the 2.

Because it's not melodic as heavy/speed/power metal. Way too much hard and no melody at all.
Well, it's totally OK with me that you like Slipknot. Just be yourself and be happy, there's nothing wrong with that. I personally don't really like them, but my opinion on them doesn't count :).
Well, I'm not a big fan of them at all. I don't believe in hating bands, I believe in not enjoying their music. I actually sort of enjoy some of their music but the masks definitely scare me.
I don't like scremo music though, I'm not sure why, I guess it just freaks me out since I grew up listening to country and pop and rock.
