Sleeping problem?

I can sleep for hours, and I can sleep for a few hours, but no matter what I do, I always feel sleepy and can sleep longer. I can sleep for over 12 hours on a normal bases. I doubt this is normal and I should ask my doctor, but I wanna know if anyone else feels this. So is this normal. Another thing is I can get like 3 hours sleep and jet through the day, but that feeling of lack of sleep is how I feel most of the day even when I get 12 or 15 hours sleep. Just need feedback. Thx.

You need to talk to your Dr. I know because you describe my problem exactly.

For me, the days I can go with very little sleep and seem to have the most energy are the days I have to do it-whatever it is there is someone counting on me and I can't just sleepily talk myself out if bothering. I can handle about 5 days of very little sleep, high stress go go go. After that, when it's over I slip into a depression and go back to sleeping 10-12 hours a day.

I concur with the above suggestions, any or all of them could apply to your situation.

You could have sleep apnea or chronic fatigue syndrome or any other number of medical conditions. Your best bet is to go a doctor.

It's actually a bit of depression. The less Vitamin D you get from the sun, the less happy and motivated you feel. So the more you stay in during the day, the more you will feel inclined to sleep for a long period of time.

It could be anemia! I have the same problem. Try a daily multivitamin with iron and it will work wonders.

I suffer an anxiety disorder(my parents split) and I find I can sleep for ages and still feel tired even when I'm not. My doctor tells me its normal so you have nothing to worry about. If your stressed this can also happen.

I get 7-9 hours sleep on a normal bases, but there are days where I don't have to wake up at a curtain time and I sleep for a long long time

Stick to 8 hours of sleep and you'll feel better

12-15 hours of sleep can mess with your body's internal clock. That's why you're so tired.

You probably have mild depression and don't know it. Either that or one amid a few different health issues. I would see a doctor either way
