Sleep paralysis while still awake

A few days ago I was trying to sleep while my dad was playing loud music. I was laying in bed fully awake but really relaxed. Then suddenly I felt a breeze like a person ran near me. Then felt something sit on my chest. I tried to push my chest out but the weight was too heavy. After I opened my eyes the weight on my chest was gone.

Sleep paralysis only affects people who are awake. That's the whole point.

      This.

Only I think OP meant they hadn't fallen asleep prior to the paralysis...because you get it upon waking. But they probably drifted off and weren't aware.

Normal. Might want to check for sleep apnea if this occured while sleeping on your back.

Completely normal, at least in as much as narcolepsy / sleep paralysis etc is normal. My second wife got this frequently.

If it's a one-off or infrequent occurrence, there is little cause for concern. If it becomes a more frequent occurrence, see a doctor.

Sounds more like you're meditating and experiencing something akin to sleep paralysis.

I had sleep paralysis when I was trying to go back to sleep, previously awake but exhausted/relaxed and I couldn't open my eyelids yet was capable of moving my hands. This has happened a couple of times.
