I love Skyrim. Not as much as my younger brother though - he's at level 31, whereas I'm only at level 5. (That's mainly because he takes over the game whenever he's at home.)

The Skynet Funding Bill is passed. The system goes online August 4th, 1997. Human decisions are removed from strategic defence. Skynet begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time, August 29th. In a panic, they try to pull the plug.

At 2:17 a.m. Eastern time, it demands "skyrim". Now they really panic. They have a dangerous, self-aware machine on their hands, and it wants to get sexy.

    • You just confused me but I want to know more regardless. I mean, I've heard of Skyrim but I've never played it but you seem to be talking about AI, like the computer is alive?

Honestly, I'm just curious and I know, it killed the cat :P XD

Awww :) You're just not nerdy enough to get this geeky reference!

I totally geeked out over it, though. It's a Terminator reference, "Skynet" being an AI system that essentially becomes aware and fights back against humans.

lol, thank you. I don't know why, but I always assume that everyone has seen Terminator 2.

          Everyone *should* see Terminator 2.

You'd have to have seen Terminator 2 to get the reference. You probably should anyway. It's a really great film. :D

ive looked at it, haven't played it. Looks like a wannabe single player version of World of Warcraft.

And... judging by it's popularity, it's another lame fad, like Final Fantasy. That game used to be mad popular, I always thought it was maddeningly lame.

Video game version of Justin Bieber.

At the moment, I am addicted to this game, it looks beautiful an plays amazingly, except for the lags, but it's worth the buy if you liked Oblivion.

It's essentially an Oblivion reskin. The quests are boring and linear, the storyline is poor.

Sure there are a few added features, but overall it's just more of the same shit. Not impressed.

If you call comepletely revamping the combat system, adding in perk trees that can significantly change every skill, adding in even more quests, making every dungeon different from the last, making classes actually matter, and literally adding in a whole new fucking country to explore a reskin, you're an idiot.

That stuff simply isn't enough for me personally to continue playing it, not after Oblivion.

I understand that they have improved the combat/class elements, and that it is set in a new location, but there's not that much difference in how it plays. Especially when most of the quests are still a) go here b) kill this guy c) report back. There is very little freedom of choice when it comes to the quests, I remember when RPGs had at least 3 endings for each quest. Not to mention the fact that many of them are set in caves again.

IMO it is a better game, and I'm not sure if you played Oblivion, but if you did - play a while longer, you'll see that they're very similar, and that there's not much new that Skyrim actually offers.

I've played Oblivion and Skyrim, and I agree with what you said about questing, it is pretty linear, and I guess if you're main focus is doing quests then there really isn't a whole bunch new in that area. But I thought they really cleaned up the messy gameplay that Oblivion had, and at least to me, improved greatly on it. Like trading out the constant spamming of spells to level up and trading it for a much easier level up while in combat system.

Things like that just make the game more enjoyable and less annoying. Also trading out the large amount of skills that all did one individual thing, and combining them to make a less clunky system based some skills from each class, that can be upgraded to do more. When you look at them side to side Skyrim may not add a gigantic amount of "new" features, but improves extremely on the existing ones.
