Sitting beside yourself?

Often when I go to bed or am sleeping, a majority of my dreams focus on me seeing a ghostly form of myself sitting on my bed, it does nothing but move it's arms and head about. I'm going to assume I'm either too superstitious or I have really weird thoughts in my mind. Is this normal or acceptable?

ASTRAL PROJECTION mutha fucka!!! No, but seriously that's probably what is happening. Look it up, and you should learn something about it. Some people don't even know they're doing it.

    THEORIES

    1. Dead twin?

    2. Yourself from the future

    3. Yourself from another dimension

    4. A ghost of yourself

    5. Your clone who time traveled forwards to find out about the future and when he returned he went into his own self's mind while he was asleep to implant some important idea, and then in the dream within a dream he was teleported to a parallel dimension where he was traveling at the speed of light thereby getting to his destination before he was born and voiding the universe three times over.. and THAT'S why there are three blank accounts... it's because this is the fourth incarnation of the Matrix!

Oh. I see what I did there.

hmmm..I think it depends on how much time this happens? I think recurrent dreams often tell something about your sub-conscious, or reveal some kind of inner fear or emotions about something. You don't need a professional to tell you what your dream means...I don't think any of us can tell you either or even guess, but I'm sure you can. For example, I used to have a recurrent dream, that I kept having every now and then, with some variations perhaps. I started to think about it, and only asked for a little help from my bother- he's the one who told me it's related to a fear. So, I kept looking at the dream (what happens) and when I used to have it (the circumstances at the time, was I having any troubles, is it related to someone, something that appears in my life at the same time, etc.) And I figured it out. :) Mine is related to lack of confidence or losing control. Sometimes I used to have certain troubles (mostly they were troubles I chose not to talk about them to anyone), and of course they kept torturing me. I never told myself I couldn't handle them (I've always liked to depend on myself), but apparently my subconscious was trying to tell me that deep down I wasn't confident enough..there was like that deep, inner fear that I can't control the situation. Knowing what it meant didn't help me a lot really :D But it was interesting to figure it out. At least, when you know what it means, you wouldn't get those bad, confused feelings when you wake up...perhaps it will give you an insight about something in your life...in my case, perhaps I should ask for someone's help/advice when I get this dream to feel stronger..I don't know! :)
Don't forget to tell us its meaning when you figure it out! :D

All you have to do to get rid of it is to rape it. Your ghost self would feel so violated he will never bother you again. PROBLEM SOLVED.

I dream about zombie invasions frequently :)

I've never had a dream like this. If I ha to guess, I'd say maybe it has something to do with a fear of death.

    Or

Could be Astral Projection, if you believe in that sort of stuff.

Oh God. Just thinking about that freaks me out...I can't sleep if anyone else is in the room. I know it's normal to hear things when you're drifting off to sleep (I hear people scream my name or whisper it into my ear, I freaking hate it)...if you're dreaming though, I'd say it's pretty normal. Dreams are typically odd, after all. Some people believe in out of body experiences and all that jazz, you might want to look into that. I think it's BS, but you might be into it.

Maybe there are some things that you need to address, this ghostly form of you could be another part of you an alternate being within the self are you unsure about a decision you made or maybe you're in conflict with some part/s of yourself. It could be that or just another recurring dream also the things we spend the whole day thinking about we usually have dreams of it, if you forget that dream even occurred you're likely to not have it anymore as it will not be imbedded in your mind. I think that's pretty awesome by the way chilling with yourself like hey

Maybe you could use a little self-awareness.
