Single people how do you feel seeing public displays of affection?

I mean from strangers rather than folks you know. Especially in confined spaces, or places you can't move away from, like on the bus or when waiting in line.

I want to know if it's normal I find this unbearable.

Thanks.

Many people find them annoying and get jealous, because seeing two people in love and kissing is a huge reminder of how alone you are lol.

I've commented on this before. Single or when I'm in a relationship, I hate PDA's. Can tolerate to a point, but, when two people are mauling each other, it's sickening.

Several times, at the sports bar I go to, I've had to endure the sideshow in close proximity. Once with two people I know, which I think was worse. Another time, I was two seats away from a couple at the bar who went at it so much (including off of their individual seats during the action) that the bartender, who's seen it all and done it all experienced, and is a long-time friend of mine (female), was visibly uncomfortable even serving them. She gave me looks several times, noting "Can you believe this?". When they left, briefly, she said "Hopefully, they got a room..I thought they were going to have sex right here at my bar".

Even when I'm with a woman, I don't partake in PDA's. One ex gf would motion for me to kiss her if I got up from a table to use the men's room, which was fine, but..We never went at it in public like some people do.

It depends how big the public display of affection is. If it's a hug or a quick peck on the cheek then it doesn't bother me. If it's full-on tonsil tennis, then yes, it's uncomfortable...

I'm only a kinky pervert with my own partner and within the privacy of 4 bedroom/bathroom walls...

I don’t mind small stuff like a quick kiss or hand holding but I can’t stand people making out in public, especially in confined spaces like in a line. When I was in line for a ride at Disney World wth my family, there was this young couple that was swapping spit the entire time. It was an hour long line... most uncomfortable hour of my life! Especially because they were not subtle, they were very loud and their hands were all over the place. So, in short, no I do not like large PDAs.

Just know they are fighting almost everyday. The couples that are affectionate in public are usually the worst at home.

That is a very Elliot roger reaction. I'm happy to see it, I'm happy when other people are, and it isn't so hard.
It takes more energy to be jealous and doesn't make sense.
They are no different than you. Most of the time nobody is kissing. Its possible those people don't even like each other.
    You can easily kiss somebody.
But it takes embracing others and what happens in the moment, instead of thoughts that pop into your head

I used to get affected specially after breaking up with my abusive ex but now that I internalized reality and practice big picture thinking, stuff doesn't bother me that much anymore, everything is so small and temporary and emotions are just brain chemical reactions and electric impulses..so i don't get overwhelmed by petty negative human emotions anymore.

I find it cringey tbh. I feel uncomfortable and embarrased for them. I would feel the same if my partner(if i had one lol) would do PDA

I'm single and once when my mother and I were waiting to get served at a takeaway food shop there was a couple ahead of us and I wasn't looking at them but out of the corner of my eye I could see the guy run a hand affectionately down her back and then they're kissed and it made me want spit flames of envy. I still haven't forgotten it. PDA's make me jealous because I will never have that.

Confined space? Ugggh. It depends on the type of PDA.

If they're just doing the cute couple thing, like holding hands, pecks on the lips, joking around, and simple things like that, then that's fine, good for them!

If a couple is doing some HEAVY making-out, fondling, and more in public, I would feel really uncomfortable and wish they would go home asap or just get the hell away. For me, it's one of those headphones in, play something on your phone, and ignore everyone around you moments.

When you witness PDA? To distract them by the smell? :-P

I see people in the parks laying in those new hammocks you see. They lay in there and tickle each others genitals, and do other sexy secret stuff to each other until they have really intense juicy orgasms. I hate those hammocks cuz it's harder to see what they're doing now.

I don't care, unless it's right next to me. That's uncomfortable.
