Been out with my boyfriend shopping and a lovely lunch got back 30 minutes ago. Boyfriend had to go back to residents.so let myself in.I knew mum was at work so thought I had house to myself. I walked upstairs to my room. Put shopping away at that point I needed a pee so run the bathroom opened the door which was not locked went in only to realise dad wads in the shower.I don't know who was more embarrassed him or me I apologised left the room but could not forgive myself as I was staring at his penis which I have to admit was bigger than my boyfriend I have to admit I did get a little bit aroused is this normal behaviour

    My dad would piss outside all the time and I walked up on him numerous times by accident. 'oh shit, sorry'...turned around and left...didn't really see much and didn't want to either. In the moment it's sort of awkward but really it's no big deal. It happens, move on, no need obsessing over it.

    Gee. I don't know about the UK but the showers in the US make enough noise to know that someone is in there taking one. Besides, at least in my house, if the bathroom is not being used, the door is open. If it is closed, you can pretty much guess that it is occupied so knock if it is quiet.

    On another note, what does "had to go back to residents" mean? Do you mean he had to go home?

        Oh OK I didn't understand your British English. Over here we would have just said he had to go home or back to the dormitory if you wanted to be specific about him being in college.
