Shovel snow in flip flops

I don't think it's normal. Saw a neighbor doing it yesterday she had on a coat but only flip flops with bare feet. Why?

    You couldn't even call the result an accident, could you? Bare feet and a shovel? I hope she has her phone on her and 911 on speed dial.

    Some people wear sweaters in hot weather. If that's what they're comfortable wearing, that's what they do.

    I don't think anyone should have to conform to de facto rules especially when you know little to nothing about the person. It may not be "common", but it's definitely not what I consider abnormal.

    (I do know that the APA uses clothing to discern those who may have a mental illness. For instance, someone who is bundled up in winter gear in scorching heat/wearing barely anything in below freezing weather could be a flag of a possible schizophrenic).
