Should we be able to block other users?

I think so, it would definitely help when people harass other users. And if you just don't want another person to see your posts/comments.

    Block them from what, reading the site? I do think there is a lot of nonsense on the site but that's the reality of it. What you post is there for all to see. But to block someone from reading your comments will only encourage hate and segregation. And how do you know who to block? New usernames arrive everyday. That's a lot of blockage maintence.

    If you see someone harassing another, report them. Hell, defend them if you feel inclined. But don't censor yourself.

    No. The system can be abused. This a forum designed for opinions to be openly discussed. As humans we differ when it comes to opinions on everyday matters. What would happen if one blocked someone else based on not agreeing with them? It just defeats the purpose of IIN.

    Troll activity is another thing and that I personally expect Udi to control. If you are having issues just use the Quick Feedback box or PM him.

    No. The more I see things like this, the more I see this site turning in to Facebook. We don't want this site to be a Facebook 2.0.
    Do you know how irritating that would be? You would basically be in control of not allowing others to speak their mind. They can say something completely ridiculous, then say "I'm blocking you now", and then you won't be able to explain anything.

    If it would make users feel more comfortable here, then yes. There's quite a lot of anti-social behaviour here at the moment. Sadly, if the people doing it were a bit more open and forthcoming, they'd probably find themselves accepted and have no reason to act like they do.

    No, what would be the point? We are all anonymous here anyway...the questions are for anyone to answer. If you feel as though the person's answers are offensive, then go ahead and report them!

    No, they should just ban harassing users (i haven't seen any..?), it's shouldn't be that hard for everyone to get along on a site like this...
