Should the history channel apologize for perpetuating hogwash?
The History Channel has hours upon hours of programs dedicated to "proving" that 12/21/2012 is Doomsday. In these programs they used misleading data, "experts" with no real credentials and little or no opposing views from anyone.
I'm not trying to excuse anyone for not fact-checking but it's plainly obvious that these programs have created a lot of turmoil in people's lives. What if people die over believing in this hoax? I'm sure there will be at least a few stories of people who have committed suicide, killed others, committed crimes, spent all their retirement money and such. These people should still be responsible for themselves but do you think the History Channel should at least have to have disclaimers or have some damn integrity? And perhaps apologize?
I think the History Channel should be more responsible in the future and not present information as they did with this topic. They have NO integrity! I think they should apologize, and I also think they had better shape up with their programming or else. Even the idiots won't trust History Channel now so they HAVE to!
