Should talk to one of my crushes? or leave it alone?

I like a guy who goes to my school and I'm being told that I should always seize the moment and talk to the guys I like. I did that once and I got rejected so now I'm scared to really talk to any guy outside my group of friends. Plus my best friend doesn't approve because he's a jock and she hates jocks with a passion. But I think I've actually got a chance with. I'm just so scared I'm going to get rejected. What should I do?

    Do it, but don't be afraid of rejection you'll get over it after a while. I was just rejected by a girl who i thought liked me for 4 years straight the day before Halloween, and it still haunts me to this day.

    i never heard of girls being afraid of rejection as far as guys. usually its the opposite.

    Why should you let your friend's preference affect who you date? You and her are two different people. You were born and raised in different homes, by different parents, have different influences and therefore would date differently. Plus, I believe one should go for whoever they have a chance with

    I know how you feel BUT keep in mind that as long as you are polite and friendly few guys would be offended and reject you harshly unless you are a greasy whale and only approaches fit model-looking guys that is.
