Well you have to look at why it's illegal. The reason why it is illegal is because it is the first drug to put you in a happy and relaxed state with no side effects. Should something that makes you happy, relaxes you and has a tendency of curing cancer be legal? Well everyone who knows about marijuana thinks it should be. Sadly it would be so hard to make money off of marijuana, it most likely will never be completely legal in the United States unless the government randomly decides that they should do something to benefit the American's quality of life.

Legalizing any drug will help the economy and get rid of a black market for the specific drug. I'm no drug addict but if it were up to me I'd legalize everything. America spends too much money on prosecuting drug traffickers.

Amsterdam (where pot is legal) also has one of (if not the actual( lowest users of marijuana per capital then anywhere in the world. Being an illegal drug it is actually easier to get then alcohol for kids
