Should pharmaceutical companies invest in antibiotics?

It bothers me that pharmaceutical companies only invest in chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, or erectile dysfunction. What about infections?! Let me know people!

    Aren't there chronic conditions which require anti-biotics?
