Should marijuana be legalized?

Hell YES!
But, I'll do it whether it's legal or not because it is a wonderful, amazing, enlightening herb!

I'm starting to think that the majority of people wouldn't mind if marijuana was legalized, even though they may never partake in it themselves. It seems like there are only a few ignorant crazies left that are actually against it.

If marijuana was legalized huge corporations would be created from it and it would be crammed full of chemicals and become just as toxic and maybe even addicting as nicotine.

apparently marijuana didn't even become illegal because of health reasons... it is healthier then binge drinking, and even smoking normal cigarettes. as long as you don't do it all the time.
it would get rid of the black market, and some crime.

I don't think it would be a very good idea.
The government would own it if it was legalized.
They wouldn't want to be in competition with pot dealers, so they'd target them and aim to put them all out of business.

Once the government has their hands on marijuana, we lose control over it. They could use chemical fertilizers to grow it (probably the same they use for tobacco... just research "polonium tobacco") and possibly add chemicals and other shit we don't know about. Look, they did it to tobacco...

I don't want marijuana legalized because I wouldn't trust the government to touch my precious weed. I don't want them to get their grimy, greedy hands on it...

Chances are Cannabis may never be legalised, but its all about political agenda, and control. The fat guys in power don't want you having a say on everything, but at least there is a silver lining, we can do mostly whatever we want these days, so if you want to smoke cannabis, then do, if it has a negative effect on you and your social well being, then maybe take up skate boarding or something. One other thing, we can be sheep or we can be eagles, the choice is ours, so fuck politics and the government and live your life to the fullest :)

*additionally* - if you have a parent that smokes around you, put some tupperware in the oven and set it to 400 degrees. After the smoke clears out, simply look at them and say: "Welcome to my world."

I'm so freakin' tired of people smoking - and I LOVE seeing it catch up to them after the years and years of ignoring the warnings. I love it when they hack and cough - and carry around oxygen tanks.

I would LOVE to see every parent that smokes around their child lose custody. SO many fucking kids with asthma, respiratory illnesses of "unknown" etiology....pisses me off SO FUCKIN MUCH. Folks: it's the organic chemical factory you're lighting on fire every 20 seconds!

Why the fuck not. Sure the revenues on fines are helpful but it's very expensive to imprison a drug lord for a few years.

Also if it was legalised they'd be able to regulate its sale and production and you wouldn't get shit like those guys on here who smoked what was (probably) refined salvia divinorum by mistake.

Yeah, legal weed would be nice. Not having to sneak around when smoking weed or having to hide your smoke. The only problem is that they would totally put some addictive shit in it. Also, it is illegal in almost every country everywhere so that means most people have a pretty clear opinion of weed that it's negative. kinda sucks, but I don't think it would ever be legal. Weed is better than alcohol though.

i think it would be a very good idea to do so. if the goverment were to legalize it they would make ten fold the money they make now trying to stop it, or sell it themselves. yes it would drop possetion charges but the people that get hit with those charges are probably going to pay just as much money buying it from the goverment as the goverment would make puting him/her in jail. and it would create jobs farming and disstributing and selling.

Marijuana should be legalized,because it's healthier smoked in moderation than most drugs including alcohol and nicotine.
But I voted "I'm gonna smoke it anyway" because whether they legalize it or not I will smoke it,cuz I find it good for me,to have fun,feel better when sad or depressed and calm myself,I'm a nervous person.
