Should is it normal add a sex sticky?

So there are a lot of the same types of questions asked, especially when it comes to sex. "is it normal I want to do my brother" "That my daddy touched me" "that a dog licked me" "that my first time was when I was 8" "That my penis is this big" "Age of consent" and numerous others that are bombarding this site everyday. My idea is to get a petition going to is it normal to have a few "sticky" threads with basic information.

So it would be like this:

"Family member incest and you" - Information about worldviews on incest and occurances based on country

"Penis size and you" - Information on worldwide averages grouped by age

"The beast of both worlds" - information on bestiality and other assorted views with animals

"Is it ok to touch?" - Information about wordwide views on age of consent and things dealing with kids/adult relationships.

Yes - A sticky with information would be good 3
Yes - Multiple stickies would be good 6
No - It wouldn't help because people wouldn't take time 0
No - people would still ask even having the info in front of them 6
Maybe 3
Yes - comment 0
No - comment 1

    but don't forget you CAN flag stories as things such as "messed up" or "adult" or "inappropriate"

    besides .. if the complaint is that all stories seem to ask the same questions... um, isn't that really the point of IIN? I mean if it wasn't then... this would just be a site where a handful of people write advice and post it for others to obey.

    in which case it would no longer be "isitnormal.com" and it would be "thisiswhatisnormal.com"

      There is so much diversity though, that it wouldn't damage IIN to have a generalized base of information. I mean some people come here strictly looking for basic information. How many times have you seen someone ask "I'm 7 inches, is it normal?"

      Well that one could be answered easily by seeing a sticky. Something like "So my husband likes to lick peanut butter off of my left foot, and play with ice on my right foot, so iin" certainly wouldn't be one for the general base.

      And I occasionally have a good idea. I know people hate me...but the positive reviews means I get a cookie right?

    That is certainly an interesting proposal, and I understand completely about the complaints, but I don't think some of those things need to be encouraged (particularly incest, bestiality, and under-aged matters). Maybe I am looking at it the wrong way though?

    I do think that one about sex/relationships might be beneficial though. There are a lot of those kinds of stories on here.

    I think it's an interesting idea. I'm not sure someone could really explain to me how it works but once the system was in place I'm sure I'd learn it quickly enough.

    I wish blatant troll and really dumb incest / bestiality polls could have a sticky warning me of them... but alas, if all stories suspected of such were stickied, I might miss out on a question where someone legitimately does want some helpful advice, and I'd feel bad =/

    I think people will post their stories regardless of whether their are similar stories on here already. They might see their situation as 'different'. Dunno thats just my opinion.

    Interesting, but how would a "sticky" work? Just anyone can comment on it? Some sort of wiki? Just link to all the existing, related posts?

      The wiki style might not actually be a bad idea. I know a sticky post in a forum tends to be at the top of the page, and is usually set so only moderators can edit it but everyone can read it.

      In this case, and I apologize for not knowing if the programming even exists since its been years since I've done any html, we could use the thumbs up/down feature to allow a mod to add information. Say if a comment gets 100 likes, that information can be added to the sticky.

      So an example sticky: /example start

      "Is my penis length normal?"

      (Text explaining general information about the penis, including how the muscles inside cause an erection. For certain places around the world, add or subrtact X amount of inches. For easy conversion, 1 inch = 2.54 centimeters)

      Averages by age group(all measurements in inches):
      10 - 2-3
      11 - 2-3
      12 - 2-3
      13 - 2-4
      14 - 3-5
      15 - 4-5
      16 - 4-6
      17 - 5-6
      18 - 5+

      (Text explaining reasons why someone might not be "average" including diabetes, genetics, etc. )

      Its late so that was the first thing that came to me to use as an example. Sorry.

      In reality most of the topics would be able to have some sort of sticky. Sleep for example could have a sticky about dreams (color or black and white), body position during sleep, etc. For habits, something about the DSMV's definition of OCD, something for nail biters, etc. Hopefully those are enough to make sense of what I'm saying.
