I thought my ex had moved on and she has dated other guys since our relationship ended. I went to a BBQ party last weekend and I was talking to a mutual friend and he mentioned my ex. The friend said that my ex told him that she wishes we were together and she would take me back in a heartbeat if I wanted her. I wasn’t expecting that and I told him I didn’t care. But I do care and it made me happy to know she felt that way. We broke up because I moved away and she was angry that I chose my career over her. Three years later and I’m back. Is it normal I have feelings for her after all this time?

    Sounds like you weren't ready for a serious relationship at that time and are now okay with it. I'd say you should get in contact with her as you don't have forever. Maybe it won't work out, maybe it will but it's certainly worth a shot if you're both okay with it.

    Certainly it's normal, especially if you haven't moved on.
    I would suggest that you think very carefully about resuming the relationship, as the old ghosts could resurface to ruin things, and who needs two lost loves, who are but one girl.
    You haven't mentioned whether the break up was ugly or not, which should also be a factor to consider.

          Have you ever tried to get back together with an ex? I went with the info he gave, which said she was angry. No mention of "We had a good relationship" anywhere in his post, was there?
          Most break ups ARE ugly, are they not? I even wished him good luck. And that fucking makes it an ignorant post?
