Should i take it down a notch when it comes to cooking for my man?

My man and I don't live together. He is a great cook, but he doesn't put in nowhere near as much effort as I do. For example, I cook with a lot of seafood, whereas he cooks chicken and serves it with bread. While I am very greateful for his cooking skills, and the fact that he sometimes does cook for me, I feel like he isn't putting in as much effort as I am.

Should I take it down a notch, and cook meals that are similar to the ones he makes?

Yes, stop trying to impress so much. 2

Jesus fucking christ. You are the second woman to post today that thinks a relationship is all about keeping score. Hasn't it ever occurred to you that doing something for someone you love IS a pleasure and it's own reward?
I pity both of you and wonder if either one of you could ever actually have a healthy relationship. Who screwed you up so badly?

    • I cared for my ex so much and did too much for him. It was almost like a mother/son relationship. He took me for granted, never really appreciTed all the things I did for him.

I do t want to make the same. Is take again, by doing too much...

I may be reading you wrong, but this sounds a little passive aggressive. I don't think changing your cooking habits to "get even" or something is a good idea. But if you simply feel you're working too hard on meals for him, than sure, cut back to a level you find more sustainable.

You're overthinking your relationship, you got to stop your nonsense before you lose him.

Ever heard of talking about these issues with your partner? Its way better than what you are thinking of with an either/or approach.

I think you should cook it the way you want and then send it to me. I could use some free food.
