I'm a senior in high school and I plan on going into the military right after High School. My plan to go into the military is mostly to get benefits for college because I can't afford to go to college at the time. But anyway, I have a boyfriend that is a junior in high school. Both of us are torn up about the thought of being apart for years at a time. We don't want to drift apart. I don't know what I should do.

You should definitely do what you need to do for your future. If your relationship is meant to last it will survive you all being apart. Regret is not a good feeling trust me. Especially when it involves your future and missing out on opportunities that you had. All for someone that may or may not be apart of that future.
Unfortunately I think you should face being apart and live your dream.

You are both still children. You and your bf will be going through a lot of changes as you mature and the chances you will stay together are not very good, military or no.
If your relationship is strong enough it will survive the separation. If it doesn't that's fine too.
Break up and join the military right now, dont wait any longer. We need all the cannon fodder we can find nowadays as we get ready to go to war with Iran
