Should i shave my head?

I'm getting older, and the thick wavy brown hair of my youth is now receding and thinning. It's also gone thin and a bit wispy (think Einstein with brown hair).

I've shaved my head before, but it makes me look like a skinhead (no pun intended - people say I look aggressive and hostile with my head shaved).

What should I do?

Having put my hair to good use and 'shaved for a cure' some years ago the only accessory you need to worry about when being a 'baldie' is a smile! Don't worry about what others think they will get used to your new look in time :) Get rid of it I say! Imagine Jason Statham with hair? Noooo

I would in no way regard that as a negative if I were you lol.

Make the hair a little "wispier" and yep, that's me on a humid day. LOL

Well, I've been told I am too. Still, doesn't help me with my hair (although I can laugh about it...)

Okay. If it's any consolation I let my hair grow really long to save money on haircuts. I end up spending more money on shampoo, conditioner and dye of course. I suppose I could save money by getting my hair cut at a cheap place, but I'm afraid they'll do an awful job.

Good strong hemp rope. They don't make it like they used to, a bit like me.

if you wanna try it out, go for it! I bet you'll look great. :) and, if it turns out you don't like it, there's tons of wigs and hairpieces out there you could try. good luck! :)

Honestly, as an Australian looking at your next election from over the other side of the Pacific, I think you're going to be fucked either way. Personally, I think Sanders is the "best of a bad bunch", but we're getting off topic.

Back to my hair damn it!

Get lots of hairspray and style it like trump. Or just shave it and go out stomping and shit kickin to verify that you are aggressive.

Maybe that's why Trump is such a fuckwit - sniffing too much hairspray?

Sounds like Romper-Stomper is going to be the way to go.

    Shave it, then wig it.

Now that sounds like too much work, although if I get one of those bright red wigs and some oversize shoes...

If youre afraid of funky looking patchy hair, and you dont want to look "aggressive and hostile" the shave and wig method is the only option in my opinion.

        • Tempest-au

True. Still, I'd probably go the "aggressive and hostile" in preference - wigs are so bloody hot to wear and presumably even more of a pain to maintain than real hair. Plus, I think it'd be just weird to bring a woman home and be taking my hair off before we went to bed...

          Thanks for the advice though.

I had a friend whose girlfriend shaved his hair off. Then he killed himself. Then James Blunt wrote a song for her.

Hmm, I was more thinking of smoking a blunt and shaving my hair before I die, so I could get a girlfriend. James has enough to do already. Thanks for your input though.

So, uh, you're female or what? Then a bald head might look mildly weird.

Probably because as a straight guy, I really don't give a flying sideways whether another guy finds me attractive. LOL

Unless your job requires you to look intimidating, I'd regard an unnecessarily aggressive and hostile appearance as something undesirable.
