Should i retire skiing early?

I'm a skier and about a year ago, when i still lived in CO I became a regular on double diamonds. I once skied 8 of them in one day.Because of college and work my family split up with me in FL (opposite of CO) my folks in MA and my older sister still in CO. I'm 18 I feel like I'm retiring before I even started. I know I still have a lot of improvement to go through but one day I want to go big mountain skiing.
My mom also verbally told me that she never wanted me to ski a double and she absolutely hated my attitude towards it. (My father on the other hand encouraged me) It is a dangerous sport, but I love it. I just want to get better and the easier trails just don't satisfy me.
I think I should just give up now. I'm in college now, I live in Florida, and my mother hates it. Organizing a ski trip is really difficult now anyway.

Go for it! For all we know, you only live once! No sense in spending all of your younger days building up for a future when you could be using your energy toward your own fun while you can.
When im old, i want to look back at the past and enjoy it a second time. Not think of how hard I worked only to become an old man wearing diapers..
Ultimately its your choice but... It's kind of your prime time to live your life to the fullest while you can. :)

You have the chance to live in Co. You have skis. You're good at it and you LOVE it. So shut up and keep skiing bro! I don't have my skis with me this yr and I really hate to hear you thinking things like that!

You only live once, and dont live life with regrets. These obstacles are there only to make your future successes taste sweeter. Never give up on your dreams because of the circumstances you are being put in. It is God's challenge for you to overcome it, and I am sure that you will be an amazing skiier in the future. Keep doing what you are doing, and remember, live life with no regrets.

There is nothing that is impossible, I dont do skiing, so I aint sure how this really works, but, maybe you can look for some friends with the same interest and go on a ski trip together!

    Dont give up!
